The FR480RC is a high-quality, large-range compact remote-control searchlight designed for patrol craft, custom vessels, and general marine applications. The unit incorporates variable speed control and a modern joystick control panel utilizing membrane and LED technology.
Control is managed via the Francis bus (FBUS), a custom communication protocol based on RS485 two-wire bi-directional communication. This system provides a simple, reliable link between searchlights and control panels.
Construction uses marine-grade materials and fixings throughout. The searchlight features a parabolic glass reflector with toughened front glass, external lamp focus adjustment, and a light shield to minimize stray light and glare. Pan rotation capability is 385°.
